Join The Snake River Swim Team
There are two ways to join this exclusive club. Involuntarily, which can occur when you fall out of the boat or a family member decides to exact some revenge on you and throw you out of the boat. Voluntarily, where you jump, dive or flip your way into the Snake River. With water temperature generally a little less than typical bath water jumping in isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Once you have joined the swim team your guide or someone in the office will give you a bracelet to crown your achievement. You can wear this with pride and even alter the story a bit when telling friends how you ended up in the water.
Become a Junior Raft Guide!
We created the Dave Hansen Jr. Guide program to introduce kids to the magic of river life and a respect for the outdoors. On scenic trips, they can take a turn at the oars, tally bald eagles and other wildlife, and test their skills on wildlife bingo, puzzles, and more. After completing these fun activities, kids will earn their official Junior Guide status and patch!
Free Wetsuits for Kids 12 & Under!
This is one time you won't argue with the kids about what to wear. We'll outfit them with free wetsuits and booties, then put them to work at the oars to get the true feel for river running And if the kids are feeling extra adventurous, ask your guide how they can join the Snake River Swim Team. And yes- someone’s gonna get wet!

Everybody's Happy: All types of rafters can ride in the standard boat. As a paddle leader, you can sit in front and meet the waves head-on; or you can sit toward the back, next to the guide, and enjoy the canyon scenery and not get quite so wet.
Kids' Note: This is a great raft for kids as they have two fun options: 1) Sit in back, yelling out paddle commands, and laughing as the water dumps on the people in front, or 2) Sit in the front, taking on the waves as the "hood ornament" (a great picture for the Christmas card!). With either option the kids have the most secure spot in the raft as they are flanked on each side with adult paddlers.
